Turisti will open their four‑date Magic City arena tour at Nokia Arena in Tampere on 21 November; the tour continues to Oulu, Turku and Helsinki and will donate 100 tickets per arena to Humana and Save the Children.
Turisti will play Nokia Arena in Tampere on 21 November, opening their four‑date Magic City arena tour, Aamulehti reports. The tour begins in Tampere, then moves to Oulu, Turku and Helsinki, concluding at Helsinki's Veikkaus Arena on 12 December.
Turisti, whose real name is Harlova Vukulu, rose to prominence with hits such as "Movement Is Medicine", "Diana" and "Magician". The tour is based on last year’s multi‑platinum streamed Magic City album and will include material spanning the artist’s career, with songs such as "Liike on lääke", "Diana", "Don Julio" and Spotify chart‑topper "Kui paljon".
Turisti built the show during a year‑long break and previewed it on the Blockfest main stage on 22 August; the three‑part production was the most ambitious of the artist’s career. That Blockfest set was part of a packed festival weekend in Tampere which included Blockfest at Ratina.
According to a press release, the team created "a show you rarely see here" and the production is intended to be "international level", with moshpits. Turisti said it feels momentous to be the first dark‑skinned Finnish artist to mount a nationwide arena tour.
At Turisti’s request the tour will partner with children and youth services Humana and Save the Children: one hundred tickets at each arena will be donated to widen access for more young people. The tour announcement comes as several large arena events are planned in Pirkanmaa this November as previously reported.
