Two Detained as Police Seek Remand After Suspected Homicide in Sastamala
Police will seek remand for a man and a woman detained after a suspected homicide at an apartment in Sastamala; investigators say the district court hearing must be held by Sunday.
Authorities will seek remand for the two suspects, YLE reported. The investigation is being led by the Central Finland police division.
Crime inspector Jari Luoto, the lead investigator, said remand applications will be presented for both detainees and that the hearing must be held in district court by Sunday.
Emergency dispatch received a call to an apartment building in Sastamala after 6 pm on Wednesday. For investigative reasons, authorities are not confirming the exact address. The case is being treated as a suspected homicide and is believed to have occurred in a private residence. Officials have so far declined to release the victim's age or gender. No further details were given.
