A van crashed into a guardrail on Ysitie in Orivesi on Tuesday around 3:30 PM, leaving the driver trapped and causing heavy traffic congestion, Tamperelainen reported. The collision happened about 100 metres from the Siitama side road.
Only the driver was in the vehicle. Rescue crews dismantled parts of the van to free him, and emergency medical services transported him for further care. One lane remained open, with crews directing alternating traffic. Crews estimated the disruption would last until about 4:45 PM. Traffic at the scene was heavily backed up.
