Vapriikki Turns 30: Special Tours, Closed-Area Access and €11 Birthday Entry

Vapriikki marks its 30th anniversary on Sunday 15 November with special guided tours, access to normally closed areas and a birthday admission of €11. The celebration programme will be open to all museum visitors that day.
Over three decades, the museum centre, housed in Tampella's former lower workshop, has drawn more than 3.5 million visitors and staged roughly 200 special exhibitions. It has grown into one of Finland's largest museum complexes. Its industrial roots date back to a mid-19th century blast furnace and the later Tampella engineering works. Those roots are visible in the brick walls and spacious factory halls that now house the Pirkanmaa Regional Museum, the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame and the Postal Museum.
Vapriikki is known for major international collaborations. It has brought exhibitions such as the Terracotta Army, Treasures of the Chinese Emperors and Songlines to Tampere. The centre's 2027 programme includes Poison! and a themed show celebrating the 50th anniversary of Pikku Kakkonen.
Earlier this autumn Vapriikki reopened its Finnish Game Museum after a renovation in October, and the museum centre's 2027 season will include the live-animal Poison! exhibition among its highlights.
