Century‑old protected factory office at Vernissaraitti 6 in Epilä up for auction
A protected, century-old factory office at Vernissaraitti 6 in Epilä is being sold at a public auction open until 8 August 2026.
The City of Tampere says the protected, century‑old factory office at Vernissaraitti 6 in Epilä is on offer in an open auction that runs until 8 August 2026.
The building measures roughly 260 gross square metres, with about 225 square metres of usable floor area. It sits on a 1,464‑square‑metre plot and the site has 300 square metres of building rights.
Offered for renovation, the property is protected. It is characteristic of the architectural style associated with Lambert Petterson, and preservation rules require that its contribution to the streetscape be maintained.
The zoning plan allows residential, commercial, office, service and educational uses. Tanja Tiihonen, the city's property manager, called the site “an exceptionally interesting site that combines a historic setting with versatile uses.”
The city says soil remediation work was completed in spring 2026 and warns of elevated radon levels on the site. Interested buyers can place offers on Huutokaupat.com until 8 August 2026. Open viewings are scheduled in June and August, and the city reserves the right to accept or reject bids.
