Protected Hatanpää laundry by Näsijärvi gets top bid of €735,900

Aki Hyrkkönen Oy submitted the highest bid of €735,900 for the protected former Hatanpää laundry on the shore of Näsijärvi, suggesting the property has a likely buyer. The city owns the roughly 900-square-metre building. It dates to the 1800s and is protected for its cultural and historical value, so it cannot be demolished. The sale is planned to be registered in the name of Kiinteistö Oy Pihkanokka. The housing and property committee will decide the transfer at next week's meeting. In recent years the building has served as artists' studios. The city has previously sold other Hatanpää manor buildings to Aki Hyrkkönen Oy after earlier bids, Tamperelainen reported.
