At least 21 rescue units responded to a fire at the Flinkenberg factory on Kuormaajankatu in Valkeakoski on Monday afternoon, Tamperelainen reported. The blaze began in an external dust-extraction unit outside the production building. Rescue crews arrived quickly. They put out the fire and prevented it from spreading to the building's structure. Although 21 units were initially dispatched, four completed the operation. The factory operator evacuated the premises as a precaution. No one was injured, and the rescue department said the fire damage was minor. The incident follows an overnight industrial blaze in Ylöjärvi and a grinder-triggered fire at a Lempäälä steel plant.
