Fimlab will cut about 30 person-years at its Tampere operations after a stronger-than-expected drop in demand for laboratory services, YLE reported.
The reductions — announced after the company concluded change negotiations — will focus mainly on administrative and support roles, Fimlab said, and will not affect service provision or the number of sites. No sites will close.
CEO Ari Miettinen said the actions concentrate on Tampere, where Fimlab has centralized much of its administration and production.
Fimlab is owned by the Pirkanmaa, Kanta‑Häme, Keski‑Suomi, Päijät‑Häme and Pohjanmaa wellbeing services counties. It serves more than one million Finns and employs about 1,100 people.
