According to the City of Tampere, a seminar on making working life more inclusive will take place at Tampere City Hall's Näsijärvi Hall on Thursday 26 November.
Working Life for Everyone will bring together employers, jobseekers, professionals and experts by experience to tackle barriers and find practical solutions. The programme focuses on support for people with disabilities, long-term illness, partial work ability, neurodiversity, diverse cultural backgrounds and sexual and gender minorities.
It highlights routes into education and employment, offers guidance on workplace adjustments and recruitment, and urges employers to focus on skills rather than assumptions.
The event continues a series of free public gatherings at City Hall this autumn, following an international residents' evening and a retirement guidance session.
Attendance is free but in-person places are limited to 100. Registration closes on Monday 23 November. Doors open at 13:30 for coffee, and the programme starts at 14:00 with hosts Katja Metsävainio and Eero Herranen. Safer space principles will be observed, and City Hall staff can provide accessibility assistance if needed.
