International residents invited to discuss Tampere’s future at City Hall on 5 November
International residents are invited to an English-language residents' evening at Tampere City Hall on Thursday 5 November to discuss participation and the city's development.
The English-language residents' evening on participation and city development takes place in Näsijärvi Hall at Tampere City Hall on Thursday 5 November 2026, 16:30–19:00. The event is aimed at international residents.
The programme opens with a music performance by Peter Darryl Kengne and free coffee for the first 100 guests, with Sean Ricks hosting. Two panel discussions will look at ways residents can influence city decisions and what Tampere could do better for its international community. Panelists include Maryam Mohammadian, early childhood teacher Giulia Mason from Italy, entrepreneur Katerina Crawford and musician Peter Darryl Kengne. Deputy Mayor Jaakko Mustakallio and city planner Lilli Siikasmaa will also take part, and the audience is encouraged to join the conversation.
Visitors can meet local organisations including the Tampere–Tartu Society and the Tampere Photographic Society, and learn about the All Tampere development programme and Tampere youth services' international youth work. Use the main entrance, door C, at Aleksis Kivi Street 14–16. City staff can help with accessibility, and the event follows the city's safer space principles.
The event continues the city's series of residents' evenings, following the spring residents' evenings that drew more than 1,050 people.
