Haihara's Free Youth Night: Rap, DJ Workshops, Crafts and Alpacas

A free festival evening for 13–29-year-olds will take place at Haihara Art Centre on Saturday 3 October 2026. The event builds on Haihara's recent youth-focused cultural pilots which launched free artist workspaces and community art programmes, the City of Tampere says. It runs from 5.00–22.00 at Haihara Art Centre (Haiharankatu 30) and features a varied programme.

Highlights include rap-lyric and DJ workshops led by Tampere Rap Academy artists Are (Pyry Jaala), 6mäki (Veikko Kuusimäki) and DJ Massimo (Tero Virtanen). There will also be jewellery-making, street art, arcade games, a duck rodeo and meet-and-greet alpacas. Performers scheduled are Kupari + Havia, TRA Support, King Yare and Luka Kallio, with Nelikasi and E-E Meino closing the night.

All activities are free. Haihara’s Coffee Chamber will operate as usual. The festival follows safer space principles and barrier-free access information is available on the Haihara website. Organisers recommend walking, cycling or using public transport as parking is limited.
