A family’s detached house in Heinoo, Sastamala, was destroyed in a fire on Wednesday at about 2 p.m., Tamperelainen reported.
No one was injured, but the property losses are significant. Residents and passersby first reported smoke coming from the building.
Police said the rescue department reported the blaze had already developed into a full-grown fire by the time crews arrived, and the large house could not be saved. They added they do not suspect criminal intent and that the cause is under investigation.
