Deputy Mayor Ilkka Porttikivi to Join Tesoma Residents' Evening on 8 October

The City of Tampere says a residents' evening focused on Tesoma's neighbourhood development will be held on Thursday 8 October 2026 from 5–7 pm at the Tesoma Wellbeing Centre (Lysti hall), Tesomankatu 4. The event will bring together officials, local organisations and residents and is part of a citywide series of Residents' Evenings. More than 1,050 people attended spring sessions across Tampere this year citywide Residents' Evenings, and similar local meetings were held earlier in districts such as Peltolammi Peltolammi Residents' Evening.

Deputy Mayor Ilkka Porttikivi will take part in discussions about planned and ongoing measures for the area. Development Coordinator Henna Kuitunen encourages locals to hear the objectives for Tesoma and to give feedback at information points. The Residents' Evening includes theme stalls staffed by local associations and city services with interactive activities, including an art workshop, exercise trials, short interviews and a presentation on district development.

Attendance is free and no registration is required. Free coffee will be available for the first 100 guests. Children's magician Paspartuu will hand out balloon figures and perform at 6 pm. The event follows the city's Safer Space principles and will take place at the Tesoma Wellbeing Centre, Lysti hall, Tesomankatu 4. The venue has accessible entrances, parking, an accessible toilet, a lift, level flooring and an induction loop.
