Isac Elliot and Pitbull Among Youth Acts Selling Out Helsinki and Tampere Arenas

This autumn and winter, arena concerts in Helsinki and Tampere are selling out for youth-favourite artists, with multiple dates already fully booked, according to YLE.

Several high-profile shows are among the sellouts and near sellouts. Isac Elliot at Tampere Arena on 14 November and two Pitbull concerts in early December at Helsinki Arena have been fully booked. Kuumaa’s 10th-anniversary show in Helsinki on 28 November and Turisti’s Tampere date on 21 November are nearly sold out. The calendar also mixes music and variety events, including Viki and Köpi’s 10-year live show, Masked Singer in Concert (4 December) and Raskasta Joulua (18 to 19 December).

The trend mirrors recent local demand for live music, following sell-outs such as Kaija Koo's Nokia Arena opening show earlier this month and packed summer festivals in Tampere that drew large, young crowds.

The audience profile has shifted from older music fans toward younger crowds, arena managers and researchers say. Sami Rumpunen, business manager at Tampere Arena, says the rise of youth-favourite artists is a new development and that relatable content is drawing many under-20s. The Music Listening in Finland 2026 study finds arena shows matter especially for under-18s, who often cannot attend festivals or late-night venues. Those concerts can be formative, Kari Tervonen of Omnicom Media Group adds.

Helsinki Arena reopened a little over a year ago after a 3.5-year closure linked to previous Russian oligarch ownership. It staged roughly 80 events this year and expects about 100 next year, chief executive Katja Leppäkoski says. The reopening may make Finland more attractive to international acts, although booking foreign artists remains challenging.
