Josephine’s Bistro relocates to historic building amid renovations

"Renovation is in full swing." Aamulehti reports that Josephine’s Bistro is closing its current premises in Pispala due to water damage, with a spring reopening planned at a new historic site

According to Aamulehti, the restaurant opened last summer in Pispala as a pop-up in the former Amanda’s space opposite Pispala Church, and over the year it became established and even gained access to the building’s upper floor. The owner, Josephine Eristan, says on Instagram that the renovations are already moving at full speed and that the new premises will be magnificent and in a historic building, with a spring opening planned. Aamulehti notes that the paper published a review of the restaurant in October 2025 and ran a profile of the founder in January 2026.
