Kaleva Prisma recycling point reopens after summer closure for EV charging

The Rinki recycling point at Kaleva Prisma (Sammonkatu 75) reopened at the start of October after closing in June to allow construction of electric vehicle charging bays. The station is now back in service in the parking area on the Hervanta side behind Prisma, close to its previous location. It accepts household packaging waste, including cardboard, plastic, metal, glass and paper, free of charge. A clothes donation container stands inside the store's entry vestibule. The reopening follows the city's earlier permit to add an EV charging yard and a transformer at the southern end of Kaleva Prisma's parking area granting the works that prompted the summer closure. Aamulehti reported the reopening.
