Lidl is reorganizing its center aisle into fixed, themed sections to improve product findability, with renovations underway and the final updates due by March 5.

Tamperelainen reports that Lidl says in a press release: "We are now making a clear improvement to purchasing everyday goods." The retailer will reorganize its so-called center aisle by grouping products into themed sections, each with a fixed place in the store, making items easier to locate, such as placing Crivit sportswear in a dedicated Sports area. Tamperelainen notes that the change follows customer feedback that new products can be hard to find when they rotate around the store, and that the new layout should help shoppers locate items more quickly. Meri Aalto, Lidl's marketing and customer relations director, says the move aims to simplify the buying of daily goods, acknowledging their popularity but noting that customers have given feedback about visibility. Some stores have already begun the renovation, with the final updates due by Thursday, March 5. Lidl also says it will pare down dozens of daily goods brands, pruning the lineup while strengthening the remaining labels. As part of the reshuffle, familiar products will not disappear — for example, men's clothing will move under the Esmara brand instead of Livergy.
