MVH will build a 97-apartment rental and service housing block in Hiedanranta, Tampere. Construction is due to begin around the turn of the year, and completion is planned for spring 2028. The 4–8-storey building will include 82 affordable rental apartments, five of them adapted for supported housing for people with disabilities, plus 15 ground-floor units designed for around-the-clock service housing under the Pirkanmaa wellbeing area. Residents will have access to a roof garden, sauna and communal spaces, as well as a shared kitchen, remote work rooms and a laundry. Tamperelainen reported the plans.
The MVH block sits in a larger residential quarter in northern Hiedanranta alongside new buildings by A-Kruunu and T2H. The shared courtyard will include play and exercise areas, a greenhouse, fruit trees and berry bushes. Mikko Leinonen, CEO of Hiedanrannan Kehitys Oy, said the aim is to finish a complete living block quickly. That way residents will have a ready environment as the wider neighbourhood for nearly 20,000 people is built out over the next five years.
The project follows a 66-unit Avain Asunnot development and joins the Viva block currently under construction in Hiedanranta as the area continues to expand.
