Avain Asunnot Adds 66 Avain Rental Homes in Hiedanranta

Avain Asunnot announced that it will expand its housing portfolio in Tampere's Hiedanranta with 66 Avain rental homes at Tehdaskartanonkatu 40, scheduled for completion in early summer 2027, on a site located along a tram route to provide easy access to the city center.

The release quotes Elias Kiviranta, Avain Asunnot's sales and marketing director, describing Hiedanranta as a future district where ecology, smooth mobility and high-quality housing come together. He says the new homes will support responsible, sustainable living and accommodate a variety of life situations as the area develops.

In planning, Avain Asunnot notes it will assess the building's life-cycle carbon footprint and minimize it with early-stage decisions. The Tehdaskartanonkatu 40 project targets an RTS four-star environmental rating and an A-energy class, featuring low-emission concrete, energy- and water-saving LVIA technology, and the use of renewable and recycled materials wherever feasible. The development includes a shared multi-use space for family celebrations, hobbies, and small events to strengthen community life in Hiedanranta.

The collaboration with Marvea Oy is highlighted by Marvea’s CEO Leon Kärnä, who says it is great to build in the new Hiedanranta area and that the project furthers their shared goals of high construction quality, energy efficiency and practical solutions that support residents’ daily lives. Construction is expected to begin soon, with the new Avain homes anticipated in early summer 2027.
