52-Apartment Tower Rises in Hatanpää

Tamperelainen reports that a new 52-apartment residential tower is set to rise in Tampere's Hatanpää, with work starting in March and completion planned for summer 2027, after Lujatalo signed contracts with MVH-Tammi Oy and MVH-Jalava Oy to develop the project near the Hatanpää Arboretum and the Pyhäjärvi shoreline, including both standard rental homes and Pirkanmaa Wellbeing Services County operated support apartments, on the plot that also hosts Lujatalo's adjacent housing project, according to Tamperelainen.

The project brings together conventional rental housing and specialized housing for people with severe disabilities operated by the Pirkanmaa Wellbeing Services County. MVH-Yhtiöt collaborated with Lujatalo on the development, and the arrangement on the same site expands the partnership between MVH and Lujatalo. MVH's client relations chief Jukka Ahvonen notes in a press release that the project includes many new elements and required diverse expertise from all parties, and they look forward to delivering high-quality, affordable housing for both wellbeing customers and regular tenants. Lujatalo's real estate development chief Markus Peltonen adds that the land transfer process kicked off in 2021 and emphasizes the project as a prime example of open and trust-based collaboration.

Peltonen also remarks that starting construction in the current market climate is timely, with market-rate housing still recovering. He argues that the project is particularly meaningful for Lujatalo's Pirkanmaa unit amid the sector's broader recovery, and the building work is planned to begin in March with completion slated for summer 2027, according to Tamperelainen.
