Näsinneula maintenance may cut Tampere radio broadcasts for up to an hour
Maintenance at the Näsinneula transmitter may interrupt radio broadcasts in parts of Tampere for up to an hour on Monday morning.
Parts of Tampere may face up to an hour-long interruption to radio broadcasts on Monday morning due to maintenance at the Näsinneula transmitter.
Technicians will service the transmitter on 20 October between 9:00 and 12:00. For safety, Digita says some transmissions may be cut for up to an hour, and several channels will be transmitted at reduced power; this can cause reception problems at the edges of the coverage area.
Stations likely to be affected include Basso, Classic, Easy Hits, Kantri, Radio Moreeni and Radio Rock. Operators say this maintenance is routine and helps keep radio and TV transmission systems reliable.
Aamulehti reported the planned work.
