Rantatunneli to close overnight for maintenance on 14–18 and 21–25 September
Tampere's Rantatunneli will be closed overnight for maintenance in two separate weeks in September, with signed detours and alternative routes in place during the closures.
Night-time maintenance will close Tampere's Rantatunneli in two separate weeks in September. Drivers will be redirected to signed detours across the city's streets and the ring road, Tamperelainen reports.
The eastbound A tube will be closed nights from 14 to 18 September and the westbound B tube from 21 to 25 September, with work taking place between 22:00 and 06:00. Signed alternative routes will be in place across the city and along the ring road during those hours.
Crews will wash the tunnel, service and inspect technical systems, and clean and check cladding structures and drainage pits as needed. Tampere's waterfront tunnel receives this more extensive service twice a year to keep systems functioning reliably and to maintain traffic safety.
