Night tram work to restrict lanes and move bus stops on Naistenmatkantie and Hatanpään valtatie
Tram construction crews will carry out night work on Naistenmatkantie and Hatanpään valtatie in Tampere and Pirkkala on 25–26 and 27–28 August, causing lane restrictions and temporary bus stop moves.
Tram construction crews will carry out night work in Tampere and Pirkkala on the nights of 25–26 August and 27–28 August, mainly between 20:00 and 06:00 at locations including Naistenmatkantie (near the Lidl Pirkkala junction) and Hatanpään valtatie, Tamperelainen reports. The work continues a series of overnight tram construction phases on Hatanpään valtatie this summer, following the July night works on Hatanpään valtatie and earlier May lane closures and reroutes.
Asphalt will be removed on Naistenmatkantie on the night of 25–26 August. Resurfacing is scheduled for 27–28 August. Both operations run between 20:00 and 06:00.
On the night of 27–28 August crews will pour a track slab on Hatanpään valtatie and fill the tram track edges between the Nuolialantie and Lahdenperänkatu intersections. Those fillings are planned from 18:00 to 06:00.
Traffic controllers will guide vehicles past the work, alternating so one lane remains open at a time. The Hatanpää School stops, 2510 and 2511, will be temporarily moved to the pedestrian crossing at Kolmionkatu and used alternately depending on which lane is open.
Nearby residents should expect night-time noise, and worksite warning lights will be in use.
