Night resurfacing on Teiskontie to close Hervanta ramps in early October

Drivers and residents near Teiskontie and Hervannan valtaväylä will face overnight lane closures and noise on several early-October nights, the City of Tampere warns.

Asphalting begins the week of October 5, 2026, at the tram crossing east of the Uimalankatu and Ilmarinkatu intersection on Teiskontie. That work will close the northbound ramp to Hervanta. The ramp from the north onto Teiskontie will stay open, guided by traffic controllers. Work on Teiskontie will continue the nights of October 12 to 15, from 11 PM to 4 AM, with exact timing depending on the weather.

Work on the ramps at the Hervannan valtaväylä and Sotilaankatu junction is scheduled for the nights of October 6 to 8, from 1 AM to 4 AM, and again October 12 to 15 during the same early-morning hours. Ramps will be closed while crews work. Nighttime noise is possible, and pedestrians and drivers are asked to follow temporary signs and traffic arrangements.

The resurfacing is part of ongoing nighttime tram and street renewal in Tampere, following similar overnight operations earlier this summer on Naistenmatkantie and Hatanpään valtatie and at the Kauppi tram terminus.
