Early Thursday a parked truck went up in flames in the Vihioja industrial area of Tampere, badly damaging the vehicle but causing no injuries.
No one was hurt.
The Pirkanmaa Rescue Department said crews were alerted shortly before 4 a.m. and managed to stop the blaze from spreading to nearby vehicles and an adjacent building. The truck was extensively damaged, Aamulehti reports.
The incident follows several recent vehicle fires in the Tampere region, including a woodchip truck fire on Pyhäjärventie and a truck that emitted thick smoke in Pirkkala earlier this month.
