Peltolammi gets new sidewalks and cycle paths around wellbeing centre

The new routes cover Eteläinen Lempääläntie, Pähkinäreitti, Hasselpolku, Kuusamapolku, Kuusamakatu and Hasselkatu. Pähkinäreitti follows much of the previous sidewalk and cycle lane alignment north from Palokallionkatu, with the Eteläinen Lempääläntie sidewalk and bike lane branching off north of a new underpass. The route links into the development streets via Hasselpolku and Kuusamapolku, giving pedestrians and cyclists a direct connection to Autovarikonkatu.
Work in the area included new lighting along the Herrainsuo park path. Tree planting will follow later in the season, with new trees scheduled for installation in autumn 2026, the city said.
