New north-side pedestrian and cycle route opens on Naistenmatkantie in Partola

A new north-side pedestrian and cycle path on Naistenmatkantie in Partola, Pirkkala opens on Wednesday 23 September, Tamperelainen reports.

The separated path runs between Isomäentie and the Prisma underpass, forming part of the regional main cycling route to Tampere city centre via Nuolialantie.

Pedestrians and cyclists can cross to the north-side route at Isomäentie or through the underpass. The south-side walkway between Kaartotie and Lidl is closed for final touches and is expected to reopen around mid-October.

The final section toward the Härmälänojan bridge will be completed this autumn.

The opening comes after recent tram and traffic works in the area, including the Kaartotie–Naistenmatkantie closure this summer Kaartotie–Naistenmatkantie closure and the Nuolialantie traffic changes for tram construction Nuolialantie rerouting.
