Heavily armed police unit enters apartment building in Tammela, residents alarmed

A heavily armed police unit entered an apartment building on Salhojankatu in Tampere's Tammela district around 2:30 PM, alarming residents, Aamulehti reports. An eyewitness told Aamulehti they saw roughly eight officers, some using a shield, enter the block and shared a reader photo of the scene. A duty officer at the Central Finland Police incident centre confirmed the operation was still ongoing at 2:57 PM, said no members of the public were in danger and declined to provide further details.
