Pirkkaset calls for touring children’s shows to visit about 20 Pirkanmaa venues in February 2027

Children's Cultural Month Pirkkaset is inviting artists to stage a touring show at about 20 venues in Pirkanmaa from 1 to 28 February 2027.

Performances can take place in libraries, school classrooms or cultural centres, and all art forms are welcome. Proposals should respond to the festival's 2027 theme, “Pockets Full of Dreams!”, which asks artists to help children imagine possible futures and to show how ideas, actions and dreams can make a difference.

Applications are accepted only in Finnish through the Culture Bank website at www.kulttuuripankki.fi. The deadline is 29 October 2026.

Applicants must register as an Author on the service; registration and use are free. Profiles take 1–2 working days to be approved. Selections will be announced by 10 November and contractual details will be agreed with the chosen organisers. The City of Tampere reserves the right not to select any bidder.

This call complements the city's September offer of two €50,000 cultural grants for projects carried out in 2027.
