The City of Tampere is asking residents to mark preferred locations for year‑round trails and rest areas in Kaukajärvi, Hervanta and Peltolammi via an online survey open 4–31 May 2026.

The City of Tampere says residents can influence where new year‑round trails and rest areas are built in Kaukajärvi, Hervanta and Peltolammi through a public survey open 4–31 May 2026.

The aim is to improve existing outdoor services and design new, year‑round routes and rest spots that are easy to reach. The web survey, available in Finnish and English, asks respondents to mark locations on a map, say what matters most to them for outdoor recreation and leave optional comments. It takes about 5–10 minutes to complete.

The work follows Tampere’s Outdoor Services Programme 2026–2035, approved by the housing and real estate board in December 2025. The city's property services department will organise the project, with Ekokumppanit Oy handling implementation. Petri Mäkelä, head of outdoor services at Ekokumppanit, said the information gathered will be used in planning. Results will inform route and rest‑site design, and a summary will be published in summer 2026.
