Tampere will commit nearly €350,000 and provide free access to venues to support the men's floorball World Championship in the city from 5–13 December. The city will supply Kauppi Sports Center and Hakametsä Ice Rink at no charge and will be a lead partner for the event.

A procurement agreement with the Finnish Floorball Federation covers marketing services and a ticket package worth €249,900. That sum will come from the city’s major events budget. The package includes tickets for all Tampere upper comprehensive school students and 100 VIP and box seats reserved for stakeholders.

The support provided by the city, namely the free venues and volunteer transport, is valued at about €100,000.
