Tampere's Uber Demand Peaks Between 1 and 2 AM, Later Than in Other Finnish Cities
Uber data shows Tampere's busiest hour for ride-hailing is between 1 and 2 AM, with demand highest on the night from Saturday into Sunday.
New data from Uber, published by Tamperelainen, shows the busiest hour in Tampere is between 1 and 2 AM, with demand highest on the night from Saturday into Sunday.
In Helsinki, Turku, Oulu, Rovaniemi and Vaasa the busiest hour is immediately after midnight. Tampere and Oulu stand out, however, with about 30 percent of rides occurring between midnight and 6 AM, compared with 19 percent in Helsinki.
Uber's figures also show modest early-morning movement: only 3 to 5 percent of trips occur between 6 and 8 AM, reflecting late work shifts and early train and flight schedules.
Uber has operated in Finland since 2018. Drivers using the platform hold valid taxi driver licences and drive vehicles registered and insured for taxi service.
