Tays appointments and reminders move to Suomi.fi and OmaPirha in November
Tays appointment bookings and visit instructions will move to Suomi.fi and the OmaPirha portal in November; the OmaTays service will be discontinued and patients should check contact and consent settings to avoid missed notifications.
Tays patients' appointment bookings and visit instructions will move to the Suomi.fi message service in November, the Pirkanmaa wellbeing area announced. The OmaTays portal will be taken out of use as digital services shift to OmaPirha. Patients are advised to check and update their contact details and consent settings in OmaPirha so reminders and invitations reach them. Act now to avoid missed notifications.
The switch follows an April 2026 law change that requires authorities to deliver official mail digitally to adults who authenticate in online services, though patients can still opt for paper mail via Suomi.fi settings. Appointments booked before 9 November will remain visible only in OmaTays until the changeover. Bookings made after that date will appear in OmaPirha. Text-message reminders will continue if contact information is up to date in Pirkanmaa's systems. The changes are part of a wider rollout of a shared patient record system to streamline access and communication.
The move builds on recent digital updates to Pirkanmaa services, after Oma Pirha began showing residents their assigned health centre and named care staff and a national push earlier this year to prompt adults to activate Suomi.fi Messages when authenticating to online services the city warned in April. Tamperelainen reported the announcement.
