Three-part civil preparedness series starts at Ylöjärvi’s Leija Library on Sept. 21

According to Aamulehti, the free three-part series is organised by Tampereen seudun työväenopisto and begins at Ylöjärvi's Leija Library on Monday, Sept. 21. Sessions run on Sept. 21, Sept. 28 and Oct. 5, from 17:00 to 18:30 in the library's multipurpose room.

The opening lecture, delivered by the Armoured Brigade's Pirkanmaa regional office, will cover local defence and threat scenarios in both normal and exceptional conditions.

On Sept. 28, Sami Lindfors, a fire inspector from the Pirkanmaa Rescue Department, will talk about civil protection and cooperation with authorities.

Tarja Ojala closes the series on Oct. 5 with a session on everyday preparedness, focusing on accident prevention and coping in disrupted situations.

All sessions are free and open to the public. No advance registration is required. The lectures are in-person only at Ylöjärvi Library Leija and will not be streamed or recorded.
