Trabzonspor warns fans breaches at sold-out Tammela could trigger UEFA sanctions
Trabzonspor has warned travelling supporters that even a small breach of the rules at tonight’s sold-out KuPS vs Trabzonspor match in Tammela could lead to future home games being played behind closed doors.
Trabzonspor has told travelling supporters that even a small breach of the rules at tonight's sold-out KuPS vs Trabzonspor match in Tammela could force future home games to be held behind closed doors. The club and its European supporters have organised a fan gathering and march in Tampere, with the Vira Europa group planning a visual display in the away section and asking attendees to follow stewards' instructions.
Tamperelainen reported that fans will meet at Tullikamari at 15:00 and march toward the stadium at 18:30 under police escort. Supporters have been urged to travel together, preferably by bus, and to avoid flares, fireworks and political or racist banners.
The club warned that violations could trigger UEFA sanctions and individual criminal liability. Trabzonspor already faces pending disciplinary proceedings with UEFA and was fined a total of €40,000 in 2024 for incidents involving flares, thrown objects and pyrotechnics.
Police said they will monitor supporters' marches to Tammela and warned of possible traffic and tram disruption that could affect Rautatienkatu and the Tammela area. Earlier reports also cast doubt on Mohamed Salah's appearance ahead of the sold-out fixture.
