Vinni on Hämeenkatu named Finland’s best wine bar
Vinni on Hämeenkatu in Tampere was voted Finland’s best wine bar in an industry poll organised by Avecmedia.
The poll was organised by industry site Avecmedia, whose readership consists mainly of restaurant, bar and events professionals.
"A good wine selection alone is not enough. Service, setting and atmosphere must be right, and I think we meet all of these," owner Sari Sorri said. Sorri is one of Vinni’s three entrepreneurs; original owners Sami Somero and Petri Antila remain involved.
Another Tampere entry, Villit ja viinit on Rautatienkatu, made the top ten.
Avecmedia and Tamperelainen are both part of Keskisuomalainen Media.
The win follows other recent activity in Tampere’s wine and dining scene, including the planned Wine Spot on Kuninkaankatu the planned Wine Spot on Kuninkaankatu and Kajo’s strong showing in the national Top 50 list earlier this year.
