Police in Pirkanmaa logged about 500 emergency calls between 7 AM Friday and 7 AM Saturday during the Blockfest weekend, and officers placed 26 people into custody, Aamulehti reported. Jari Luoto, the on-duty lead investigator for the Police of Central Finland, said the Friday evening and the night between Friday and Saturday were relatively calm despite large crowds. Some assaults occurred, but he added that nothing catastrophic happened. Most detentions were for disorderly behaviour or an inability to care for oneself. The number of cases forwarded for investigation did not differ markedly from a typical summer weekend. The incidents took place during a packed festival weekend in Tampere that included Blockfest at Ratina and other events the city's packed festival weekend.
