Residents' evening in Peltolammi to focus on new Wellbeing Centre and transport plans

The City of Tampere is holding a residents' evening in Peltolammi on Tuesday 31 March 2026 from 5 to 7 pm at Peltolammi School.

The drop-in event is free and open to everyone. Coffee, juice and light refreshments will be served to the first 100 visitors, and the evening follows safer space principles.

Attendees can speak with deputy mayors and city staff in Finnish or English, view displays at their own pace and raise questions about local plans. The Peltolammi and Multisilta neighbourhoods are currently being developed.

Roadworks are already preparing the site for a new Peltolammi Wellbeing Centre. Construction is due to begin in autumn 2026. The building will house a school, day-care centre, youth facilities and a library.

Residents can give feedback on a planned bus route reorganisation set for 2028 and suggest improvements to outdoor recreation routes between Peltolammi, Hervanta and Kaukajärvi. Cultural activities include an art workshop, a Tampere Art Museum survey and a children's band performance by Mimmit.

Local associations — Kotila meeting place, TampereMissio, Setlementti Tampere and Tampereen A-Kilta — will present their services. Event staff will be on hand to assist with accessibility needs.
