Heart of Spain in Tampere named Finland’s first Colmados-certified shop
Heart of Spain, a deli in Tampere Market Hall, has become the first Finnish shop certified with Spain’s Colmados quality mark.
Tampere's Heart of Spain deli has become the first Finnish business awarded Spain's Colmados quality mark, which recognises outlets that actively promote Spanish cuisine and offer a wide selection of Spanish products, Aamulehti reports.
The label is granted by ICEX, the Spanish state institute for promoting foreign trade, and certifies stores that meet criteria such as extensive ranges of Spanish goods. Founded in 2023 by Hernán Martín from Castilla y León, Heart of Spain imports many products, sells items with protected origin labels and operates as a tapas bar. It now also serves lunch.
Martín said the aim was to bring "a piece of genuine Spain to the heart of Tampere," and the shop has been named a favourite at Tampere's pintxo festivals three years in a row.
