Jalkaharpinkatu trail to close 4–13 November for lighting upgrades
The outdoor trail at the end of Jalkaharpinkatu will be closed from 4 to 13 November for groundworks and installation of new lighting.
The City of Tampere says the short closure will allow workers to reshape the terrain and lay underground wiring for new lighting.
Work this autumn is part of wider efforts to widen and repair cross-country ski trails and improve their surfaces to boost usability and safety. Tampereen Infra and Hämeen Viherrakennus Oy are carrying out the contract, which is expected to finish in November 2026. The city previously announced related trail improvements between Lahdesjärvi, Nirva and Hallila on 31 July 2026.
