Night Resurfacing at Puutarhakatu Junctions to Disrupt Traffic on 25–26 August

Puutarhakatu in Tampere will be resurfaced at the Hämeenpuisto and Näsilinnankatu junctions on the nights of 25–26 August, Tamperelainen reports.

Crews will carry out minor milling and surface-asphalt work, causing brief interruptions to traffic. Traffic controllers will direct motorists to temporary detours during the night shifts to minimise disruption. Delays are expected to be short.

The resurfacing is part of a broader Puutarhakatu renewal between Vanhankirkonpuisto and Hämeenpuisto that began in March 2025 and is scheduled for completion in November 2026.

The work follows earlier city traffic changes in the Puutarhakatu area that took effect in March and is one of several night-paving operations across Tampere and Pirkanmaa this summer reported in August.
