Lujatalo Signs 52-Unit Tampere Tower Agreement

Lujatalo Oy announced that it has signed a contract with MVH-Tammi Oy and MVH-Jalava Oy to construct a 52-apartment residential tower in Tampere’s Hatanpää district, located beside the Hatanpää Arboretum and Pyhäjärvi shoreline. The project will combine standard rental flats with supported housing for severely disabled clients operated by the Pirkanmaa Wellbeing Region, and is being developed on the same site as another Lujatalo housing project.

Construction is set to begin in March, with completion targeted for summer 2027. The venture is presented as a collaborative effort between Lujatalo and MVH-Yhtiöt, extending the group’s presence in the Hatanpää area and contributing to both market-rate and accessible housing stock in Tampere.

MVH-Yhtiöt notes that the project introduces several new elements requiring diverse expertise from all parties, and expresses anticipation of delivering high-quality, affordable housing for both the Wellbeing Region’s clients and ordinary residents. Lujatalo emphasizes that the arrangement exemplifies open and trusting collaboration, tracing the partnership back to a 2021 land-disposal process that began MVH and Lujatalo’s joint development on the site and marking the start of on-site construction. The release also highlights the current market context, describing the timing as favorable as privately financed housing remains slow to recover, and underscores the significance of the project for Lujatalo’s Pirkanmaa unit.
