NCC to Build 84-Unit Toas Student Housing in Tampere
NCC begins construction of an 84-unit TOAS student housing building on Rauhaniementie in Tampere's Lapinniemi district, with completion planned for early summer 2027.
New 84-unit Toas student housing will rise on Rauhaniementie in Tampere's Lapinniemi district as NCC begins construction, with completion planned for early summer 2027, Tamperelainen reports.
This is the third Toas student building in Rauhaniemi, joining two earlier towers on adjacent Rauhaniementie plots. The new residence, at Rauhaniementie 36, covers 4,385 square meters and will house 84 student apartments. BST-Arkkitehdit Oy designed the building, which is financed at 8.3 million euros and built as a turnkey project. The project is expected to be completed in early summer 2027.
NCC's Petri Moksén notes that in a market where housing construction is historically low, it is important for Toas to continue expanding student housing. Toas CEO Kirsi Koski adds that the organization remains committed to future sustainable student housing and considers it fortunate to proceed with planned construction amid global turbulence.
