Tampereen Ratikka will suspend tram services through the city centre nightly from 20:00–06:00 on 3–6 May; Lines 1 and 3 will run shortened routes and replacement buses will cover the suspended sections.

Tampereen Ratikka has announced nightly tram suspensions through the city centre from 20:00 to 06:00 on Sunday–Wednesday nights, 3–6 May 2026. Line 1 and Line 3 will follow altered routes and replacement buses will cover the suspended sections.

During the suspension, Line 1 will operate only between Lentävänniemi and Keskustori; services to Kauppi campus will be suspended overnight. One 20:05 departure from Kauppi campus will run only as far as Tulli.

Line 3 will run between Hervanta and Tulli, with the Tulli–Sorin aukio section suspended. Two evening departures from Hervanta (19:28 and 19:36) will be canceled.

Detailed departure times include the last regular Line 1 trips on 3–6 May: Lentävänniemi 19:24 to Kauppi campus and Kauppi campus 19:46 to Lentävänniemi. Regular 15-minute service between Lentävänniemi and Keskustori continues until around midnight. Morning first runs on 4–7 May are Kauppi campus 06:01 to Lentävänniemi and Lentävänniemi 05:39 to Kauppi campus. A special early departure from Tulli to Kauppi campus is scheduled at 05:46.

For Line 3, the final normal departures on 3–6 May are Hervanta 19:21 to Sorin aukio and Sorin aukio 19:56 to Hervanta. Except for the canceled trips, trams will run between Hervanta and Tulli every 15 minutes through the night and into the morning. During the works, Tulli will use only stop A (the Tammela-side stop). Morning first departures on 4–7 May are Hervanta 05:43 to Sorin aukio and Sorin aukio 06:18 to Hervanta.

Replacement connections will be provided by buses 6, 7 and 18R; standard bus routes themselves are not changed. A special 18R route will run Atala–Kauppi campus–Keskustori via the Teiskontie stops at Kauppi campus (it will not serve the Lääkärintie transfer stop). Feeder buses 15, 16 and 17 will continue to Kauppi campus and stop at the shared Teiskontie stop (Kauppi campus D) to ease transfers. Line 41 will not operate during the service break.

Passengers are advised to plan journeys with the Nysse route planner and allow for short waits. Walking between Tulli and the centre is possible, but construction may make some routes awkward. The notice was issued on 28 April 2026.
