Work starts on Tays R-building extension to keep MRI scans running
Construction begins Monday 7 September on a two-storey extension to the R-building at Tampere University Hospital to keep MRI services running while the new M-building is built.
Work starts on Monday, 7 September, on a two-storey extension to the R-building at Tays central hospital in Tampere.
The addition, built onto the R-building lobby, is designed to keep magnetic resonance imaging services running while the new M-building is under construction. That will allow MRI scans to continue without interruption.
MRI rooms will occupy the ground floor, while offices and reception spaces for cancer care will be on the upper level. The project carries an estimated price tag of about three million euros, Aamulehti reports.
